Oficina Municipal do Teatro

The Oficina Municipal de Teatro (OMT) consists of two different spaces — The Sala Grande (Main Stage) and the Tabacaria, with different possible configurations — a Multifunctional Room (the antechamber), a rehearsal space, a workshop, a prop room, costume storage and two office spaces. It is a municipal space run by Teatrão through a protocol celebrated with The City of Coimbra. In the last few years Teatrão has launched a project making OMT a space of regular activity not only with its own productions but also with guest productions and productions of different artistic “languages” aside from theatre. There are also activities of artistic education.
